Located on the Atlantic coast, Swakopmund is an old German colonial town, founded in 1892 as the main harbour for German South-West Africa (as Namibia was previously known).

A modern-day beach resort and one of the finest examples of colonial German architecture, Swakopmund is a brilliant place to relax and unwind after or in between projects and treks. Home to some fantastic surfing, as well as plenty of cafés and restaurants, there are plenty of things to experience and take part in around Swakopmund.
