The high, glacial amphitheatre of the Annapurna Sanctuary offers jaw-dropping views of 11 of Nepal’s major peaks, including the tenth highest mountain in the world – Annapurna I. Dazzling white tumbling glaciers, snow-capped peaks, plus forest and flower filled valleys, all provide a dramatic backdrop to a stunning trekking route.

With flourishing valleys and sleepy villages, this part of Nepal offers groups unsurpassed natural beauty and the chance to explore the Himalayas.

The Annapurna massif is the largest protected area in Nepal and was also the first conservation area, launched in 1986. Annapurna is also incredibly rich in flora and fauna, with over 1,000 types of plant, more than 100 mammal species, nearly 500 bird species and nearly 40 different reptiles known to date. The aims of the conservation project are to preserve the natural resources of the region and promote tourism in such a way that it does not have any negative effects on the socio-cultural and natural environments.
